Staff Baltimore Business Journal The group responsible for negotiating contracts between cargo carriers, employers and longshore unions at the Port of Baltimore says the International Longshoremen's Association violated its contract by initiating work stoppages earlier this year. The Steamship Trade Association of Baltimore Inc. filed a lawsuit June 7 in the U.S. District Court of Baltimore alleging ILA Local 333 violated its labor agreement with the trade association when its members refused to work the Bahria Abha ship on April 18 and May 13.
