Staff Baltimore Business Journal The Maryland Transit Administration is requesting an additional $146.1 million from the state to help design the proposed Red Line for Baltimore. Maryland's Board of Public Works is scheduled to vote June 12 to give the MTA the authority to increase funding on two consulting contracts for the Red Line, a 14.1-mile rail system that would connect East and West Baltimore.
