Beatty has joined the board of Downtown Partnership of Baltimore Inc., a move that could help change perceptions that Beatty’s waterfront developments detract from downtown. The board of the Downtown Management Authority, a group representing downtown property owners that fund most of Downtown Partnership’s activities, opposed the city’s tax-increment financing plan earlier this year even though the Downtown Partnership’s board supported it.
